Started with

Hope.

It began with just 1 - Peter, who confirmed, over the years, the need to extend a hand (or two) to those around us - family members, friends and colleagues, and then to students whom we had the privilege of teaching and mentoring.

The world we lived in, they discovered along the line, was far from 'black and white'

- and even with all the shades of all the colours could not fully display the

strengths and struggles of our everyday.

And they realised that what's more, it cannot be just 1 - everyone must help as everyone needs a helping hand. Emotional and physical challenges we face can be supported, assisted and alleviated - but how important it is to stress this again;

that each one of us must help.

8OPE (pronounced 'hope') has grown from taking part in 1 charity to several, from helping 1 student to over 100. And we will not stop here

- and we would like you to be a part of our cause.
